Q & A || What I’ve Been Up To + Announcement + Readers’ Day + E-book

Hey guys and welcome back to my blog. So, I have been gone for a while and it is actually something I needed to do. Most times, I get so caught up in life that I loose myself and loose understanding of why I do and love certain things. Let’s just say, this was a break I needed.

A few days ago, I went on my social media and requested questions and I promised to answer and I am really glad there were no inappropriate questions included, lool. So let’s get right into it.

  •  Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I am Anulika Kristen Chioma. I am from Imo State, Nigeria. I am an author and I love writing.

  • What inspired you to start blogging?

I really wanted to share my write ups, especially my books on the blog and unfortunately I have not shared my stories on here yet. Fortunately, working on an E-book let’s see how that goes. Will keep you posted.

  • How do you source content for your blog?

I mostly let my imagination lead me and when that seems to not work I do lots of research and also read other blogs to see what is being discussed.

  • What is your preparation process like when publishing a post?

I read through and through a dozen times and I still end up making a mistakes, I wonder how that works? Lool. I also source for pictures if I feel the need to include pictures. It’s a pretty boring process but I would try to put up a preparation post.

  • Is there new content available?

Yes there is. The most beautiful thing about blogging is the allowance it gives to be creative and truly be yourself. Yes, there are certain blogs that face difficulties when it comes to new and original contents but portraying sincere and legit opinions helps a lot of your content stand out. So no matter how alike and repetitive contents seem, they are different.

  • How often should you update your blog?

Sincerely, I do not believe in setting a time frame for updating your blog. Anytime you feel inspired to or anytime you feel your blog needs a fresh look, you can change things up. For things like this, setting a clock on it just makes it look more like a chore when it is meant to be fun.

  • What should be the ideal length of your blog posts?

I believe that length does not matter when putting up a post. Depending on the topic of discussion, the length of a post varies. With my blog, there is a mixture of both short and long posts and they all depend on the topic of discussion.

  • How can I get loyal traffic?

How loyal and consistent your traffic is depends on the quality of your content and your relationship with your readers and how engaging you are with them. People are attracted to knowledge and quality and if your content has that, people would be attracted to it.

  • How do I turn blog traffic into subscribers?

We can not force people to subscribe to our blogs, its a choice. Like I said earlier; answering the previous question, quality content would always keep them coming back from more and subscribing is one way they ensure they are always in the loop of new arrivals. So focus on publishing quality content.

  • Can you generate income from a brand-new blog instantly?

Yes, you can but it is advisable not to rush head-first into generating income from a blog you created to inspire and to build relationships in the first place. It gives readers a bad view of your person when you are already all about money before your first 200 posts. Yes, 200! Seems like a lot, but it gets built without you noticing if you enjoy creating and publishing content.

  • What should my first post be?

I would go for an introduction because that’s how life goes. I can’t walk up to a person and immediately start giving them tips and trying to teach them if they have no knowledge of who I am. A lot of people might think a simple introduction can’t be fun enough to draw in crowd but the truth is you can make any topic interesting with your style writing.

  • What inspired the Inspire Week?

What inspired the Inspire Week Week was my need to create a trend that represented what I want to be about or brought to life my need to impact lives, if that makes sense. Inspiring is not something I planned but I loved that I could make people feel better, I could impact people and the Inspire Week was one major commitment I could not pass up on.

  • What are your plans for the next Inspire Week?

Well, I can’t exactly disclose that because it is still a plan in progress and I love the whole mysterious air about it. But I can say that it is one to look forward to.

  • How did you decide on the theme for your blog? Which theme is the best for my blog?

Initially, I had no clue of what I wanted my blog to look like. I looked at other blogs and it kind of gave me a hint of what I wanted and what I didn’t want and when I started the process, it was easier to decide.  Which theme is best? Any theme that represents you and that you are comfortable with is best. Yes, there are professional looking ones that could work but with a personal blog, mostly, it is meant to speak about your character and draw people to you.

  • Should I accept guest post on my blog?

Yes you should. I believe one way to keep your audience interested is if you occasionally publish guests posts (of course with permission from the original owner) that inspire and add more knowledge. Some people hesitate when it comes to guest posting on a small blog because all they mostly want are link backs, but against that, guest posts are a go!

  • Where do I get help?

Anywhere really and researching is one sure way to find help.

  • What are 10 random facts about you?

Well…I eat my coco pops like rice and stew. Mix a little at the side…9 more random facts about me

  • What are your 3 fun things to do?

Watch movies. Read & Write. Listen To Music.

  • Describe yourself in 5 words:

I am weird. I am happy. I am talented. I am talkative. I am a foodie.

  • What makes you laugh

Myself and horror movies. You have to admit they are hilarious.

  • What special talent do you have?

Writing and creating something out of nothing.

  • What type of music makes you want to get up and dance?

Any music with a good beat.

  • Which do you prefer, E-book or Paper Back?

I prefer paper back because of the feeling I get when I am holding a book and just reading. Plus phones, tabs and laptops get to have low battery and die.

  • Is blog commenting good or bad for a website?

It is very good because it is one legit way to get link backs. It is also a good way to build relationships with the online community and to also contribute by sharing your honest opinion. It is advisable not to abuse commenting by using it as an avenue to promote yourself on someone’s wall, it is just plain rude to do that.

  • How do I use white hat methods to bring visitors and comments to my website for free?

Comment. Guest Blog. Discuss Trends. Be 100% original with your content. Consistency. Quality content.

  • What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Their looks. I always laugh when people answer this question and say they notice their character. I mean, what if the person doesn’t say a word to you. The first thing I notice when I see a person is the way they look.

  • Scary movie or happy endings?

Definitely scary movies. I just love the thrill. P.S I am still nice and happy so don’t look at me weird, lool.

  • What are your hobbies?

Watching Movies. Writing. Reading. Listening to Music. Researching.

  • Do you have any siblings? How many siblings do you have?

Yes. I have 3 siblings.

  • What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be an inspirational figure. Check out this post and you’ll know why and how I intend to do that. What do you want to be when you grow up.

  • What is your middle name?

Kristen. What’s yours?

  • What is your favorite song at the moment?

I don’t have a favorite song but I do have two favorite albums. It’s The Hill by Travis Greene and it is legit dope. A lot of people do not think that gospel music can be fun but they can and this album is both fun and inspiring. The second is Human Condition by Jon Bellion.

  • Favorite book of all time?

Forever Faithful: A Complete Trilogy by Karen Kingsburry. I discussed it  here.

  • Do you like your name?

Absolutely!!! Do you?

  • Do you wear makeup?

Yes, I do.

  • If you could write a book, what would the title be and what would it be about?

Good that this was asked. I am presently writing a book and it is titled Hear. It is about a preachers kid who grew up and adopted his parent’s calling as his because he was too enveloped in the lifestyle and  just couldn’t hear God clearly.
